About Me

Hi, friend!  I'm so glad you stopped by today!  I'm Amy, aka One Artsy Mama.  In March of 2011, I started blogging with the hopes that my little piece of the internet would be a place where people could come to create, share, love, and inspire.  I sincerely hope that's happening today!

Here's a little bit about me:

I'm a wife, a mother, and an artist...which means I'm always busy and sometimes messy!  I have a B.A. in English from McDaniel College, and in April of 2013, I published my first e-book, Crochet 101.  Here at One Artsy Mama, I share a variety of project types including home decor, kids' crafts, sewing, jewelry, crochet and more. In addition to posting on my own blog, I am a monthly style contributor at My Favorite Finds, a Family Fun/Crafts contributor at EngagedMarriage.com, & a Blog Growth contributor at Somewhat Simple.  If that weren't enough to keep me busy, I also enjoy being a Curator for LooksiSquare.com.  

I'm passionate about sharing what I've learned so far in this blogging journey, so I started a Growing Together: Blogger Mentoring Program in January 2013.  Each session runs for 12 weeks, and I provide weekly readings, assignments, and one-on-one mentoring for up to twenty bloggers.  This September, I will be a featured speaker for BloggyConference 2013 on the topic of Growing and Engaging Your Community. 

I am happiest when creating something and enjoy making all kinds of projects with my 4 year old "Little Crafter." In my spare time {if there ever is any!}, I am a professional ballroom, latin, and swing dancer.  When not on the dance floor or crafting, you can probably find me at Starbucks.
